چکیده

A new attack against the Kirchhoff Law Johnson Noise (KLJN) secure key distribution system is studied with unknown parasitic DC voltage sources at both Alices and Bobs ends. This paper generalization of our earlier investigation a single end source. Under assumption that Eve does not know values sources, attack, utilizing current generated by dc introduced. The mathematically analyzed demonstrated computer simulations. Simple defense methods are shown. method based solely on comparison current/voltage data Alice's Bob's terminals useless here since wire currents voltages equal However, more expensive version method, which in situ simulation measurements, works efficiently.

Current Injection Attack against the KLJN Secure Key Exchange

The Kirchhoff-law-Johnson-noise (KLJN) scheme is a statistical/physical secure key exchange system based on the laws of classical statistical physics to provide unconditional security. We used the LTSPICE industrial cable and circuit simulator to emulate one of the major active (invasive) attacks, the current injection attack, against the ideal and a practical KLJN system, respectively. We show...

Cable Capacitance Attack against the KLJN Secure Key Exchange

The security of the Kirchhoff-law-Johnson-(like)-noise (KLJN) key exchange system is based on the Fluctuation-Dissipation-Theorem of classical statistical physics. Similarly to quantum key distribution, in practical situations, due to the non-idealities of the building elements, there is a small information leak, which can be mitigated by privacy amplification or other techniques so that the un...

Generalized Kirchhoff-Law-Johnson-Noise (KLJN) secure key exchange system using arbitrary resistors

The Kirchhoff-Law-Johnson-Noise (KLJN) secure key exchange system has been introduced as a simple, very low cost and efficient classical physical alternative to quantum key distribution systems. The ideal system uses only a few electronic components-identical resistor pairs, switches and interconnecting wires-in order to guarantee perfectly protected data transmission. We show that a generalize...

It is also sometimes loosely referred to as the Kish cipher, however, it is a hardware-based scheme for securely distributing cipher keys, and is not a...

Provably Secure Gateway Threshold Password-Based Authenticated Key Exchange Secure against Undetectable On-Line Dictionary Attack

By using Password-based Authenticated Key Exchange (PAKE), a server can authenticate a user who has only the same password shared with the server in advance and establish a session key with the user simultaneously. However, in the real applications, we may have a situation where a user needs to share a session key with server A, but the authentication needs to be done by a different server B th...
